Accessibility 101 is an interactive, foundational session that provides a broad overview of accessibility in everyday work. Through real examples and guided discussion, participants explore why accessibility matters, what is expected by policy, and how to approach documents, presentations, and meetings. The session emphasizes simple, actionable improvements and how to access support resources.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and scope of accessibility within the organization, including key policies and expectations.
  • Recognize and name at least two core accessibility practices (e.g., document structure, alt text, color contrast, captions, or clear language) used in common work materials.
  • Identify 1-2 practical ways to incorporate accessibility into daily workflows and know how to request support when needed.
