Talk Title: Digitally Enabled Care in a Learning Health System: From Innovation to Impact

Bio: Devin Mann, MD, is the Director of the Section of Digitally Enabled Care (SoDEC) at NYU Langone Health, where he leads a cross-disciplinary team advancing digital health research, innovation, and implementation across the health system. Housed under SoDEC, the Healthcare Innovation Bridging Research, Informatics, and Design (HiBRID) Lab, founded and directed by Dr. Mann, anchors the section’s research portfolio with a focus on designing and evaluating digital tools - including remote monitoring, clinical decision support, and AI-enhanced assistants - to improve patient and provider experience. SoDEC also includes the Behavioral Design Team (Nudge Unit), which applies behavioral science and human-centered design to promote high-quality, equitable care.

Dr. Mann also directs FuturePractice, NYU Langone’s internal technology innovation lab, which brings together innovation managers, UX designers, and technologists to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation care models. In addition, he serves as Strategic Director of Digital Health Innovation within the MCIT Department of Health Informatics, an enterprise leadership role that bridges clinical operations, digital strategy, and informatics.
