Join UT Southwestern for a special Science Café episode about research into understanding the impact of COVID-19 by our scientists and their colleagues around the world. Dr. Trish Perl, Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at UT Southwestern, will share her reflections on the development of COVID-19 and how the medical community has responded to caring for patients, as well as the state of research on campus. Additionally, Dr. James de Lemos and Dr. Sandeep Das, UT Southwestern cardiologists, will share details about their work to create a national database, the American Heart Association’s COVID-19 CVD Registry, to collect data on COVID-19 patients and gain knowledge into the cardiovascular implications of the disease.
