• Identify areas for advocacy and ways to support our patients

About the Speaker:

Dr. Juliana Dixon is a third-year resident in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Arizona and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Medical School where she was a member of the school's Population Based Urban and Rural Community Health (PURCH) program. While there she was involved in implementing social determinants of health screening at a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Dr. Dixon has continued to pursue an interest in social determinants of health while at UT Southwestern Medical Center through the Health Equity Advocacy and Research Training (HEART) Track. She will be starting a fellowship in Community Medicine at UTSW this July.
