“Long-Term Outcome of SARS-CoV-2 in the Geriatrics Population”

About Dr. Duval:

A native of New York, Dr. DuVal received her undergraduate degree in neurobiology and behavior at Cornell University, and earned her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, served as a hospitalist for two years, then finished her advanced training with a clinical fellowship in geriatrics at UT Southwestern.

 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in geriatrics and general internal medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2012.

 

At UT Southwestern, Dr. DuVal instructs medical and graduate students in small groups and clinic rotations. She also trains fellows in elder abuse, functional assessment, and other topics. She is also a member of the Clinical Competency Committee.

 

She is active in the American Geriatrics Society, where she serves as a member of the Resident Education Sub-Committee.
