Healthy Thinking (“Stinking Thinking”)

Instructor: April Wilder, LCSW

Cognitive distortions are patterns of biased, negative, irrational, or unrealistic thoughts or beliefs that we unknowingly reinforce over time that produce persistent negative emotions and ultimately create dysfunction in living.  Because cognitive distortions are often subtle, it can be difficult to recognize and change them, which can lead to negative consequences in every area of our lives. This seminar is an introduction to cognitive distortions, often referred to as “stinking thinking,” how they affect us psychologically, emotionally, and functionally, and strategies for correcting them.
