About Amy Jones:
Originally from Austin, Dr. Jones holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern and then returned to Duke to complete internal medicine residency training. She received advanced training in hematology and medical oncology through a fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where she served as Chief Fellow for quality improvement and education.
Dr. Jones is Medical Director of the Inpatient Hematology-Oncology Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She also serves on the Cancer in People with HIV/Kaposi Sarcoma Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Additionally, she is a founding Co-Chair of the Parkland Cancer Improvement Committee, a member of the Parkland Cancer Committee, and a recipient of the Niarchos Grant for Quality Improvement through the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
