About Timothy Brown:

Originally from Florida, Dr. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, foods, and exercise from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia, and a medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern, where he served as Chief Resident, and then gained advanced training in hematology and oncology through a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Fellow and where he also earned a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology.

He specializes in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal cancers, including the stomach and esophagus. 

Dr. Brown joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
