About Anusha Govind:

Originally from Chennai, India, Dr. Govind holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where she graduated cum laude. Dr. Govind earned her medical degree at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in College Station. She completed both her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious diseases at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Govind joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020. She specializes in human immunodeficiency virus and opportunistic infections, pre-exposure prophylaxis of HIV, viral hepatitis infections such as hepatitis B and hepatitis C, and general infectious disease management.
