About Andrew Clark:

Dr. Clark holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in microbiology from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship program in clinical and public health microbiology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

 

Dr. Clark's research and academic interests are focused on the molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial susceptibility testing in the clinical microbiology laboratory. He is also interested in the pathophysiology and antimicrobial resistance of anaerobic bacteria, and the evaluation and implementation of novel diagnostic technologies.

 

About Francesca Lee:

Born in Italy and raised in Spain and Nevada, Dr. Lee earned her medical degree at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at Loyola University School of Medicine. She finished her advanced training with a clinical fellowship in infectious diseases at UT Southwestern, where she was chief fellow, followed by a second fellowship in medical microbiology at the University of Utah.

 

Dr. Lee’s research interests include quality improvement in the clinician/laboratory interface and the impact of antimicrobial stewardship programs.
