 holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia. H
 e received his medical degree from the University of Miami\, where he also
  completed residency training and earned a master's degree in public healt
 h. He then obtained advanced training through a fellowship in infectious d
 iseases at Emory University.\n\nHis clinical and research interests focus 
 on the delivery of HIV care to vulnerable populations\, across the spectru
 m of the HIV care continuum. In his research\, he seeks to bridge the impl
 ementation gap in order to improve the delivery of HIV care\, by addressin
 g sociobehavioral\, biomedical\, and systems-level barriers. In addition t
 o his Atlanta-based work\, he works with a Nicaraguan NGO that strives to 
 improve the delivery of primary health care in Nicaragua through a communi
 ty health worker model.
