About Marshal Isaacs:

Dr. Isaacs earned his medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine and then completed residency training in emergency medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He received advanced training in prehospital emergency medical services (EMS) through a fellowship at Stanford University, where he served as the Lead Flight Physician for the Stanford Life Flight air medical transport program. 

Prior to joining UT Southwestern in 2006, Dr. Isaacs served as the Medical Director for the San Francisco Fire Department and was a Professor of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, practicing emergency medicine at San Francisco General Hospital.

Dr. Isaacs serves as Medical Director for the UTSW/Parkland BioTel EMS System, a consortium of 11 North Texas cities and EMS agencies whose paramedics and EMTs all work under the same treatment guidelines and policies. He is also Medical Director for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department and for Parkland Health’s Prehospital Care/BioTel program.
