About Tonia Vinton:

Dr. Vinton holds a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with highest honors. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern, where she also completed internal medicine residency training.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Her primary research interest is in obesity medicine.

Dr. Vinton is the founder and President of the Dallas Obesity Society. She currently serves as Medical Director of the UT Southwestern Weight Wellness Clinic at Texas Health Dallas.
