"The Influence of Lrp10 on Cell Fate Decisions Within the Immune System"

Speaker:

Evan Nair-Gill, M.D., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine
Division of Rheumatic Diseases
UT Southwestern Medical Center

About Evan Nair-Gill:

Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Nair-Gill holds a bachelor's degree in biological chemistry from the University of Chicago. He earned his doctoral and medical degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his doctoral thesis in the Owen Witte Lab, where he studied immune cell metabolism to develop imaging probes for non-invasive measurements of immune function. He then obtained internal medicine residency training and rheumatology fellowship training at UT Southwestern. During his fellowship, he worked in the Beutler Lab, where he investigated the cellular mechanisms that control lymphocyte quiescence.

The Nair-Gill lab dissects the cellular infrastructure that dictates immune cell survival and fate decisions.

Dr. Nair-Gill joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
