  Medical Center\n\n \n\nAbout Isaac Chan:\n\nDr. Chan earned both his doct
 oral degree in genetics and molecular signaling and his medical degree at 
 the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed internal med
 icine residency training at Boston University and received advanced traini
 ng through a medical oncology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University S
 chool of Medicine in Baltimore. \n\n \n\nDr. Chan’s research involves un
 derstanding how to treat and prevent metastatic disease by studying the pr
 ocesses by which cancer cells spread. His lab seeks to define and therapeu
 tically target innate immune responses that are shared between people. In 
 particular\, he focuses on the signaling that regulates the responses of n
 atural killer cells and barrier cells.\n\n \n\nDr. Chan joined the UT Sout
 hwestern faculty in 2020.
