Microsoft Training Program: Teams for EDU Faculty and Staff

UT Southwestern has partnered with the Microsoft Customer Success Team to provide extensive training in using Microsoft 365 tools. Join us to learn how to use Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings the conversations, contents, and apps that educational institutions are already using as part of Office 365 together in one place.  Institutions can use Microsoft Teams to create collaborative classrooms, connect in professional learning communities, and communicate with school staff all from a single experience in Office 365 for Education.  This course focuses on education specific use cases such as end-to-end assignment management, OneNote Class Notebook, creating on-demand lectures or meetings with Microsoft Stream, and using apps and Bots in Teams.  Additionally, the training will highlight key accessibility features to ensure everyone stays digitally engaged.

The Microsoft Training Program

This is the first course in an 8 week training program designed to provide virtual hands-on learning for the most impactful Microsoft applications on a flexible schedule via Microsoft Teams Live. The sessions will start June 16th and will occur twice a day every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until July 30th at the same times.

Each week, Microsoft will teach identical courses around a particular topic. Those topics are:

Communication and Collaboration

Storage, Sharing, and Planning

These training webinars are designed so that the only variable is what topic is being trained for the week to make it easier to for attendees to schedule to attending.
