About Nikhil Munshi:

Originally from Palo Alto, California, Dr. Munshi holds bachelor's degrees in biomedical engineering and molecular biology from the University of California-San Diego, where he graduated summa cum laude. He earned his medical degree and his doctorate in biochemistry at Columbia University in New York. He completed internal medicine residency training and advanced training through a fellowship in cardiology at UT Southwestern. He then completed additional advanced training through postdoctoral fellowships in molecular cardiology and developmental biology at Columbia and UT Southwestern.

 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiology, Dr. Munshi joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011. 

 

Dr. Munshi’s research focuses on cardiac rhythms in health and disease and has led to frequent publication in peer-reviewed journals, as well as editorials, reviews, and book chapters. He is also a frequent speaker both regionally and nationally.
