About this Event
Join the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics for U-Hack Med NeuroChats as we engage in discussion with leading authors of novel, cutting-edge publications at the crossroads of neuroscience and computational biology via an interactive virtual monthly meeting. The monthly discussions precede an in-person hackathon event (U-Hack Med 2023) in Spring 2023 focused around this scientific area.
All of our invited speakers will be scientists at the undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree seeking), graduate (Master’s or Ph.D degree seeking), or postdoctoral levels. The purpose of this journal club series is to provide a global stage for young scientists to present their work, engage in meaningful dialogue, and build collaborative research networks.
First session: Thursday, June 9th, 11AM CT, Zoom Registration
Speaker: Mark Plitt, Stanford U. graduate student in neuroscience
Paper: Plitt, M.H., Giocomo, L.M., Experience-dependent contextual codes in the hippocampus, Nat Neurosci 24, 705–714 (2021).
