About Asra Kermani:
Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Kermani earned her medical degree at Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi. She completed internal medicine residency training, serving as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in endocrinology, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Center for Human Nutrition.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Kermani joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015. Dr. Kermani previously served as a member of the endocrine faculty at the North Texas VA Medical Center from 1999 to 2006 and subsequently spent time in solo private practice.
Dr. Kermani serves as Medical Director of Value-Based Care at Southwestern Health Resources, where she focuses on improving diabetes quality goals for participating patients while working with UT Southwestern specialists to help achieve overall quality goals.
