 \n\n \n\nAbout Dr. Colin Weekes:\n\nDr. Colin Weekes is a medical oncologi
 st specializing in gastrointestinal malignancies in the Tucker Gosnell Cen
 ter for Gastrointestinal Cancers at the Massachusetts General Hospital Can
 cer Center\, where he is also the Director of Medical Oncology Research fo
 r Pancreatic Cancer. He is the inaugural incumbent Christopher D. Horner E
 ndowed Chair in Pancreatic Cancer. He is an Associate Professor at the Har
 vard Medical School. Dr. Weekes’ translational research career has focus
 ed on early drug development in gastrointestinal malignancies with a focus
  on pancreas cancer. He has worked to translate laboratory findings into c
 linical strategies to improve the outcomes for patients with pancreas canc
 er. Much of his translational research has led to the development of strat
 egies to target various components of the tumor microenvironment and the c
 onsequent cellular signal transduction as a therapeutic strategy. In addit
 ion\, Dr. Weekes has a longstanding interest in the equitable participatio
 n of patients of diverse backgrounds in clinical trials.
