This bootcamp-inspired class focuses on resistance training to strengthen all major muscle groups, in a circuit- or interval-training format. Occasionally we’ll focus on just one muscle group, but usually you’ll get a full-body workout by doing bodyweight exercises, weight training, and cardio. We’ll also highlight modifications for each exercise to adjust the level of difficulty.
Equipment needed: exercise mat, chair for modifications, hand weights or resistance bands.
(If you don’t have dumbbells/kettlebells, some “homemade” options include water bottles or jugs—quart or gallon size work well—laundry detergent bottles, canned goods, a cast iron frying pan, a bag of flour, a backpack with books.)
How to Join
Classes are hosted via Zoom and open to all UT Southwestern Students, Residents, Faculty, and Staff . Zoom meeting information is sent via email. First-time participants can email StudentLife@utsouthwestern.edu to request to be added to the email listserv and receive all virtual fitness class login information.
