The UT Southwestern community is invited to honor the brave individuals who have served our community and country at the 11th annual Tribute to Veterans celebration. 

This year’s keynote speaker is Tony Lakin, M.S.I.T., Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at UT Southwestern. Mr. Lakin served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Operations for the Air Force’s premier Cyberwarfare Squadron. With his more than 30 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, strategy, engineering, and regulatory compliance, his insights promise to be both inspiring and thought-provoking. 

The event will begin with a light lunch reception at 11:30 a.m., followed by the formal program at noon. It will take place on South Campus in D1.502 and be livestreamed on UTSW’s YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.  

Campus shuttle services will be increased for this event, and gates at Staff Garage 2 and the visitor lot on South Campus will also be open.   

The tribute is hosted by the Office for Institutional Opportunity.
