DESCRIPTION:The UT Southwestern CTSA Program is currently accepting applica
 tions for two CTSA KL2 Scholars slots\, one to begin funding on May 1\, 20
 24\, and the other on November 7\, 2024. \n\n \n\nApplications for either 
 start dates are due by March 5\, 2024.\n\n\nWhat is it?\nThis two-year pro
 gram is designed for junior faculty who show great promise towards becomin
 g\nsuccessful independently funded clinical and translational science inve
 stigator\, and their salary is supported partially by the KL2 grant.\nWe s
 upport six KL2 Scholars each year for a two-year term. The two new slots a
 re due to pending graduation of two current Scholars.\n\n\nProgram Highlig
 hts\nWe expect KL2 Mentored Clinical and Translational Research Scholars w
 ill complete the program equipped with the skillset and passion to become 
 successful\, independent investigators who make contributions across the e
 ntire spectrum of clinical and translational research.\n\nTwo years with s
 ignificant protected time to focus on research\, publications and grantsub

 nThe Scholar will:Develop clinical and translational research competencies
 Develop an individualized educational development planDevelop critical thi
 nking skillsReceive formalized coaching on scientific communicationDevelop

 dual K awards or equivalent career development grants by scientific societ
 iesParticipate in intensive training and career development for transition
