About this Event
Join us in embracing a sustainable lifestyle with our low/zero waste cooking event happening on campus every Wednesday in April!
From 11:30a-1p, visit the campus cafeterias to be among the first to try out our new low or zero waste recipe of the week. There will be a limited number of samples available, so be sure to come early! The recipe will also be featured in the cafeteria's menu, allowing everyone to try the recipe in a full meal.
On April 4th, we'll be featuring a zero waste salsa served with tacos on the menu. On April 12th, get ready for a refreshing Pineapple Ginger Cleanser to help you detox and revitalize your body. On April 19th, we'll be serving up a delicious No Waste Pesto that will give you a burst of flavor without wasting any food. And on April 26th, we're spicing things up with our Spice Rubs that will add flavor and depth to any dish.
Every Wednesday, Scott Cook, one of our talented campus chefs, will be available to share his tips and tricks on how to reduce food waste in your own kitchen. To make sure you can recreate these delicious and sustainable recipes at home, digital recipe cards will be available at the event.
Whether you're already committed to a low waste lifestyle or just curious about how you can make a difference, this event is for you! Join us in exploring new ways to reduce our environmental footprint, one meal at a time. We look forward to seeing you there!
